In the summer of 2009, Chip Wade with HGTV and Mohawk Carpet Mills tried a new experiment on a revolutionary new carpet called Smartstrand. They, along with The Dallas Zoo, put a rhinoceros named Ricko on it for two weeks. Then with regular steam cleaning they attempted to clean the carpet-it cleaned up beautifully!
In August of 2010 they tried an experiment 10 times the size of the original experiment. They put five elephants, three camels and one rhinoceros on the carpet for two weeks, for a total of 45,000 pounds or the equivalent of 5 cars! Once again, with regular steam cleaning it cleaned up beautifully!
Smartstrand has been endorsed by the Carpet and Rug Institute as being the best fiber invented since the 1950’s. It even surpasses nylon!

What is the 2011 Business Exchange? We like to call it a Flipped Up Tradeshow or Speed Dating with a Vendor! In a traditional Tradeshow, Apartment Association Product Service Vendors purchase booths on the Tradeshow floor and our members visit each booth for information. We’re flippin’ it for the Business Exchange! Our Decision Making Owners and/or Management Company Representatives have agreed to have a seat and allowing the participating PSC members to come by their table and visit with them for 90 seconds to make introductions and let you know about their company. A list of each vendor participating will be provided to owners. This can help you prepare in case you have special questions for a particular company. The Exchange is free for all Owner and Management Company Representatives. The first 25 Product Service Vendors who sign up to participate will receive a reduced rate of $50.00. With over 25 Owner & Management Representatives in attendance, you will be paying only $2.00 per member to have your potential target audience in one place! The Business Exchange is open only to those vendors who have paid the registration fee to attend.
